The Celebration of Joy — Black Joy began as a dream between two friends to create a space rooted in connection, affirmation, and joy for the Black community in Sonoma County. Last year, 50 Black women gathered in a space created just for them—many for the first time—and the joy was powerful, healing, and unforgettable.
This year, we’re expanding the celebration to welcome 200 Black men, women, and children, creating an intergenerational community experience in the heart of Santa Rosa. While we are not a nonprofit organization, this is a community-centered event, and 100% of donations go directly toward making the celebration possible—supporting space, programming, performers, and family-friendly experiences.
